When I was 11 years old my dad gave me a Yamaha RT100 dirtbike and ever since that day I have been riding. My first race was at the age of 16; my dad took me to a harescramble at Millville. I was not ready for the torturous trails I was about to face. After that race I never wanted to do a harescramble again, but I really enjoyed the motocross portion of the track. So a few weeks later my dad took me to a motocross race in Cambridge. I once again was not prepared for all of the sand; I had never ridden in sand. I struggled and crashed too many times to count, but ever since that day I have been hooked on racing.
Throughout my years racing I have accomplished many good finishes and have created many fond memories and friendships. The 2011 season was successful. I competed in the District 23 MX Series and finished 2nd overall in the +25B class and 11th overall in the Open B class. This summer I plan to compete in the District 23 MX Series, Central MN MX Series and also the Donny Schmidt Amateur Day. I will be competing for championships in the Open B and +25B classes. I also plan to attend the Loretta Lynn’s Qualifier for Open B stock/mod and Junior 25+ classes. I will also be attending some other miscellaneous races throughout the summer: Jordan Supercross, Little Falls Supercross, Harescrambles. To help in my training and to mix things up, I will be competing in some non Motocross events as well; Snake River Canoe Race, Sprint Triathlons, Road Bicycle Races, 5K’s, 10K’s, Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder.
I am a very hard working rider who enjoys every chance I get to ride and to introduce new riders to the sport.
